This is a really great start, and I'm hopefully for where it's going. At this point we have more questions than answers but what we got was fast paced, interesting, and full of heat. I did listen to the audio, which I think makes it a little easier to look past what is missing.

An interesting start to the series, as I've never read anything about dinosaur shape-shifters before. The writing style was good, but I felt the world-building was a little lacking. And I can't really understand why no one is totally freaked out that Killian is a dino-shifter. The story is written alternately from Beau's and Killian's perspectives, and it's quite exciting because someone wants Beau dead and Killian wakes up with only fragmentary memories. What happened? And who murdered the professor?
Personally, I felt the relationship between Killian and Beau developed too quickly, but perhaps we'll find out why their feelings for each other grew so rapidly.
As I said, I would have liked the story to be a little longer, because then the author could have developed the characters in more depth. But it's only the start of the series, and maybe the next volume will be a little longer.

Declan Winters narrated the audiobook and did an excellent job! He chose appropriate voices for each character and brought the story to life.

Short, sweet, a bit silly...I really enjoyed this, and the performance, complete with New Orleans accents, was spot on. It was my first read of a DINOSAUR shifter book, and the start of a series with an ongoing plot, so it raises tonnes of questions that are unresolved at the end of book 1 but I can see myself diving in for more.

Declan Winters' performance here was fantastic. I adored these characters. I am a huge fan of amnesia stories and this one had a great payoff with the returned memory. New Orleans is my favorite city so I was delighted to find us there and I'm enjoying the mystery and suspense as well as the protector vibes.

Audiobook - very good narration and accents.
Story - dinosaur shifters are an intriguing idea, and the dangerous situations were excellent. I would personally have preferred this to be a bit longer, as there was barely any time to deepen the characters. I would have expected the insta-love to be slightly postponed due to the dino thing, for example. Promising series.
