Brought to you by Penguin.

I’ll drive her insane . . . and then I’ll go.

And she’ll spend the rest of eternity dying to taste me again.

THE UNFORGETTABLE SAPPHIC ROMANTASY DEBUT OF 2026.

WHERE HUNTER MEETS THE HUNTED IN THE HALLS OF A VAMPIRE ACADEMY . . .

In the mists of the Scottish highlands lies a university where vampires and humans alike live and study.
But there is one student very different from the rest.

Rebecca Charity. Vampire hunter.

Undercover at the university, Rebecca is searching for the mysterious Book of Blood and Roses, a lost compendium of ways to kill vampires. If she finds it, she’ll be one step closer to avenging her parents who were slain by vampires three years ago.

But when Rebecca arrives, she finds something, or someone, unexpected.

Aliz Astra – heir to one of the most powerful vampire families . . . and the most beautiful woman Rebecca has ever met.

She is everything Rebecca has always hated, but also everything she has ever wanted, and now she doesn't know if she wants to kiss or kill her.

When, on a moonlit night, Aliz rescues her from a vampire attack, she accidentally makes Rebecca her familiar. And they must work together to break the curse before the next full moon.

Growing closer by the day.

A thrilling and addictive adventure, this debut tackles all my favorite vampire tropes and makes them new again by centering a steamy and heartwarming lesbian love story. Fans—and haters—of vampire books will find something to love in this stunning tale
Thrilling and sexy, The Book of Blood and Roses is bringing vampires back in all the best ways, with a seductive, heartfelt sapphic romance at its core. Buffy Summers eat your heart out!
Vampires are so back—but this time, make them sapphic! Summerlee’s debut is dripping with blood, secrets, and enough forbidden desire to sink your teeth into. I relished every decadent bite and am clamoring for more
Intriguing from the first paragraph, Annie Summerlee weaves a thrilling, gasp-worthy, and totally irresistible mystery set at a university for vampires. Equal parts VAMPIRE ACADEMY meets BUFFY, this has kicked off my new obsession with the vampiric and reminded me just how addictive it is to read about these gothic monsters and the mortals they would kill for.

It took me a while to get into this but it picked up and throughly enjoyed the story.

I initially started this as a Netgalley ebook, but I took too long to finish - no fault of the author; I got distracted. I took so long that it was released. I got the audible audiobook instead once I found out it was voiced by Katie Leung.

Anywho, the premise of a sapphic Vampire & Vampire Hunter pairing had me from the get-go. Our introduction to Rebecca Charity proved her prowess as a Vampire Hunter. I enjoyed the banter between the leads and the yearning, even though the plot device amplified it. And our introduction to Aliz Astra... well, she does whatever she wants whenever & wherever she wants it. As for the plot, I enjoyed it. I would really like to read more from this world. I was able to guess one plot point rather early on, but that's my crime, murder mystery thing acting up as it likes to do.

On to the narration, I'm glad I switched to the audiobook; Katie Leung's performance was amazing! She helped a lot, since I certainly butchered a few names - I didn't pronounce Tynahine correctly at all. She delivered with the distinct voices, the emotions, the... everything.

I have a feeling that I'll be re-listening to this again a few more times.

I Want to Read More from This World.
