Summary

The Book of Mormon Storybook for Little Saints is a collection of 50 Book of Mormon stories, adapted for children and parents. We focus on telling the story so that the characters' humanity and the core doctrinal principles they depended on shine forth: primarily, God so loved the world. While our book is primarily intended for young children, we have crafted the stories with the idea that it ought to be meaningful and inspiring for children as well as their parents. We want to help make the Book of Mormon a gathering place for family members of all ages.

For anyone trying to tell Book of Mormon stories to children, altering the text is unavoidable. A story teller must often decide between focusing on specific details or communicating the essence. With that in mind, the primary goal of this book is not to teach children a summary of events. Instead, we have focused on the artful re-telling of the stories themselves. And each story is driven by testimony—our testimony—which we have condensed into this single sentence: These are stories about a real God who loves real people. We hope that by connecting to scripture more tenderly ourselves, and trying to show the humanity of its population gently, but honestly, our boy will begin to see and learn the goodness and grace of all the world around him. And that, perhaps, we may help others to see it too.

This is written for children, but as an adult I absolutely loved it as well. I love how they humanise the characters and help apply vulnerability to both the “good guys” and “bad guys”. I cannot praise this book highly enough and recommend it for kids, teens and adults alike, it helped me gain insight and understanding to some of the stories that I hadn’t before, but also helped me explain to my kids why people we know and hear about behave unkindly due to things going on inside of them.
Thank you for writing this ❤️❤️❤️❤️

The most beautiful adaption of the Book of Mormon I’ve ever read/listened to
