Good for people trying to investigate and form their own faith. Chuck Missler provides a number of views on different parts of the book of Romans. He does specify when his views are being talked about and when others are being talked about. Very useful and helpful for those looking to take the study of the bible seriously.

I really enjoyed this commentary through Romans. It was about 90 - 95% perfect and enjoyable and despite the fact that it is a very theologically heavy book, this commentary does well in simplifying it to my untrained ears.

It is a series of 24 lectures given out to an audience and whilst you are aware of them, they dont detract from the quality of the recording in tone or content.

The research is very through and most of the time he will turn to another part of the Bible to explain the verse he is reading. This was particularly helpful for me.

His train of thought is usually very clear and easy to follow. Again top marks in this area too.

Why not 5 stars then? I hear you ask. When he strays from the Bible and goes into alternative theory mode its almost impossible to discern how he arrived there. For example, his exposition on the hidden codes in the Bible. Which for the majority of recorded time [with perhaps the exception of the computer age] would have remained undetectable. This would our generation to be the only generation to have worked out this particular set of codes. Its implausable to say the least.

My advice is that when he sidetracks on these things skip over them until he gets back to doing what he is so able gifted at, exegeting the Bible.
