About this listen

#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • The world’s two deadliest spies face off in this thrilling conclusion to the Jason Bourne series.

The basis for the Academy Award–winning major motion picture starring Matt Damon!

At a small-town carnival, two men, each mysteriously summoned by telegram, witness a bizarre killing. The telegrams are signed “Jason Bourne.” Only they know Bourne’s true identity and understand that the telegrams are really a message from Bourne’s mortal enemy, Carlos, known also as the Jackal, the world’s deadliest and most elusive terrorist. And furthermore, they know what the Jackal wants: a final confrontation with Bourne.

Now David Webb, professor of Oriental studies, husband, and father, must do what he hoped never to do again—assume the terrible identity of Jason Bourne. His plan is simple: to infiltrate the politically and economically omnipotent Medusan group and use himself as bait to lure the cunning Jackal into a deadly trap—a trap from which only one of them will escape.

Don’t miss any of Jason Bourne’s adventures:

Quite simply the least well narrated book I have ever had the misfortune to listen to.
I could manage only four minutes before moving on to \"my next listen\".

Impossible listen

Hard to describe just how shockingly bad this is. Perhaps the book's fantastic, but I'll never know because everything - the 1980s production values, the dull monotone of the (American) reader (I wouldn't dare describe them as a narrator) the schmaltzy and continuous background music - sets my teeth on edge and makes it impossible to listen to; horrible!

This is my first real disappointment from Audible.co.uk - I'll definitely be using the 'listen before you buy' feature in future, and suggest you do too!
