Loved this done in a way that I can understand the science but also teach me new things and a good insite into his and others world

Fascinating

Many interesting stories, compassionately told. But the reader was not up to scratch. His accents were terrible and very annoying and his mispronunciation of names laughable. Regarding accents, the author is from an English Rhodesian/Zimbabwean background, but the accent that the reader uses to voice his speech is a thick South African Afrikaans speaker’s accent. And the reader’s silly Northern Irish accent always has the same questioning lilt at the end. The reader also made a hash of pronunciations of names, like Groote Schuur, kaya, and Du Plessis. When he was not doing this he read almost robotically.

Fascinating stories and an engaging book but annoying reader

What a fascinating insight into the life and work of a pathologist. Strangely, the unflinching straightforwardness helped me to overcome my natural squeamishness too.

Fascinating and Informative

Well written and so interesting. The author has my respect for the job he does especially when he speaks about an air crash… so sad. There’s no waffle just straight forward facts about his job and home life.

Excellent

This was one of the best books I have ever listened to (or read). I felt it was easy for someone with a non-science background to follow but was still enthralling for someone like myself who has a science background. I listened to it in one go it was that good and will listen again.

A definite must!
