Our 21st century lives and customs are so far removed from life under Roman rule and Jewish life, that these stories give an insight to how it was then and help us to understand the Bible better and that nothing is new under the sun.

I really enjoyed listening to this book. The storyline is interesting, characters of Leah and Alban inspiring and the narrator did a great job. I would recommend it to others.
