slow burn romance with so many potential harem members! but what really sells it is the political world building and the well crafted magic system. combat feels weighty and magic isn't all flashy solve-everything plot side steps. there are consequences and risk. there is a real sense of threat and risk in the story which keeps you going. the messy old relationships between master and apprentice, coupled with the new burgeoning harem of his wolf girl and kitsune, with the potential of so many more makes this amazing. Mandy narrates well, bringing everyone to life.
