Editor reviews

As China has emerged as a major global power, interest has risen in its possible threats to American omnipotence. Written in 2000 by Washington Free Beacon journalist Bill Gertz, The China Threat attempts to build a case for China as an increasing menace to the United States, using research and exclusive sources to show China's ties to anti-American terrorism. Alan Robertson gives a highly entertaining performance with a slightly sinister edge - reminiscent of the narration of an '80s Cold War thriller - that can easily unnerve any listener prone to Gertz's reportage.
