I'll be honest, I got through the first story and turned this book off. Upon realising I couldn't leave a review as I hadn't listened long enough I gave it another shot.

The actual stories aren't too bad, they are unfortunately dragged down by awful narration. It's a cross between PC text-to-speech from the mid 2000's, and a guy learning to read. It sounded more manageable at 1.2x speed because it sped it up slightly but it still didn't humanise it.

I'd read the stories, I wouldn't listen to another book.

I liked a lot of the short stories. Especially the ones that allow your imagination to fill the ending.
One thing I wasn’t a fan of was the transitions to new stories. There should be a bigger pause and a new chapter announcement rather than just the story title with no pause.

Narration improved as the stories progressed. I would seriously suggest having a better transition between stories. it is not always clear when one ends and another begins.

The stories were interesting and captivating, but the narration and editing needs work. The stories themselves are creepy, good pacing, and interesting.

Howrver, there isn't a clear pause between stories, meaning it isn't clear when one story ends and another begins. I think I'd have enjoyed these stories more if I had read them.
