This book overdoes it on the abuse. We don't need scenes after scene of physical abuse, its too much. I ended up skipping these bits in the end. It's a slow burn.

Gripping from beginning to end and different in all the right ways I was gripped and will have to start again because I am gutted it ended.

the preview was promising... then it went into the usual 'mine' stuff.. and repeating itself over and over. I didn't finish even the first book.. maybe got to chapter 3. before it grew too tiresome. not for me.

poor story line. weak writing, tiresome plot.
