About this listen

The most complete Books of Enoch audiobook collection available, presenting rare ancient texts found nowhere else. Carefully curated, translated and adapted for the modern listener.

Together, these texts reveal the ancient cosmological framework the Bible presupposes but never fully explains.

Among biblical apocryphal texts, no collection has the same enduring spiritual authority, mystery, and theological weight as the Books of Enoch.

These texts were not obscure curiosities. They were known, read, and taken seriously in the ancient world. Early Jewish communities preserved them. Early Christians quoted them. Church fathers referenced them.

And then the Books of Enoch disappeared.

Not because they were insignificant.
But because of what they revealed.

Too disruptive. Too explanatory. Too uncomfortable.

And yet the Bible itself points directly to Enoch.

The Book of Genesis, chapter 5, verse 24: “Enoch walked with God, then Enoch was no more because God took him.”

That mysterious line in Genesis points at ascension. Enoch is taken into the divine realm. What did he experience there? Who did he meet? And with what wisdom does he return?

The Books of Enoch exist to fill the gap that Genesis leaves open. It opens up a vast apocalyptic cosmology unlike anything else preserved from the ancient world.

All texts have been carefully modernized for clarity while remaining faithful to the original sources.

This collection is fascinating, heavy, and definitely not light listening but if you’re drawn to ancient texts, biblical gaps, and apocryphal material, it’s worth your time. Hearing 1 Enoch, 2 Enoch, 3 Enoch, Jubilees, Jasher, and the surrounding texts back to back really drives home how expansive and strange the ancient worldview actually was. A lot of what feels mysterious or unexplained in the Bible suddenly has context here, especially the cosmology, angels, judgment, and divine order. That said, this audiobook requires patience. Some sections are repetitive, symbolic, or feel more like a historical document than a narrative, and you’ll probably want to pause and reflect rather than binge it straight through. The narration is clear and steady, but not dramatic this feels more like being read sacred or academic material than a story meant to entertain.I appreciated how this collection doesn’t treat these texts as fringe curiosities but as works that genuinely mattered to ancient Jewish and early Christian communities. Whether you see them as spiritually authoritative, historically valuable, or simply intriguing, they provoke questions rather than give easy answers.

I remember learning a little about Enoch in church and Sunday School. This audiobook goes into much greater depth and will be a welcoming listen to those who attend Bible study groups. The narrator did a great job. I found his voice to be appropriately soothing for an audiobook of this length.

I’ve been spending a lot of time in my car lately, and having this audiobook playing has made the hours fly by because the stories are so engaging. The descriptions of the different levels of heaven and the specific duties of the archangels are so detailed that you can almost picture exactly what Enoch was seeing. It’s quite a lot of information to process at once, but the way the chapters are organized helps keep everything in a logical order so you don't get lost. If you enjoy learning about ancient mysteries or just want a deeper look at early spiritual beliefs, this is a great choice.
