What a reliable author — always great characters and a well-told tale. I’ve been a Nate Shepherd fan since the start and at first I wasn’t sure I wanted a different lead character. But Mason quickly grew on me. The story was good and kept me guessing. I love the narrator but wondered whether a different narrator would have been better for a new series, and also the Lily/Liv similarities threw me for a bit. But overall I loved it and look forward to what comes next. Yay for Michael Stagg! 🫶

We love Nate and we’re already fond of Mason. Enjoyed the story enhanced by the Narrator, he’s just brilliant!! Can’t wait for the next case. We’re Brits but have done many road trips in varying parts of USA and we can imagine the type of town and its laid-back inhabitants. Very atmospheric. So thank you for the entertainment.
