Really loved it! Story kept me hooked the whole time, right mix of seriousness and humour. Really cleverly written to include relevant and current topics but in an unusual and different way. Also really liked the narrator - did a great job with voices and accents.

Absolutely fantastic. Hats off to both the author and the narrator, who brought it to life perfectly. A story that doesn't leave you once it's over. At points I laughed and at others cried, the sign of a fantastic book that has you so invested in the story and its characters that their fate has real emotional impact. I can't wait to read/listen to more books by Jasper Fforde. Also I'm adding this book to the Christmas lists of all friends/family who love a good read - bloomin fantastic!

I really enjoyed the story, which though light hearted in many ways, made me think more than a lot of what I’ve read recently.

The narrator is so talented, I felt like I was listening to a very long play that I didn’t want to end!
