Summary

Rax

Fifteen years to life is a long time to be sentenced to prison, even if I do deserve it. As the Enforcer of my MC, I had to do some things that would give most people nightmares. I'm prepared to do my time, waiting for my lawyer to appeal my sentence. But when an opportunity presents itself to escape, I take it. I'm on my way back to my clubhouse in Tennessee when I get stuck in a small Missouri town. I have to kidnap the small-town mechanic to aid in my escape, ignoring the unfamiliar cravings I feel towards him.

After finishing my weekly food run, I'm approached by a hot-as-sin guy in the parking lot with a broken-down truck. I help him out and think he's on his way until he shoves a gun into my back. Turns out that hot guy is an escaped convict and all he wants is my cooperation as a hostage. To live, I'll have to trust him and do everything I can to save my life… including using my body.

Had this one in my library for ages and didn’t read it. But glad I have now as it surprised me so much. Couldn’t stop listening to see what happened next and will listen again as I enjoyed the plot and voiceovers fitted well with characters.

Normally I'd dnf when that kind of angst starts up but wow I was completely immersed, practically stuck to my earphones to hear how it all panned out. I really did like this, it's not for everyone for sure and I could have done without the nsfw but I jsut skipped that part. I hope I get to see them again, I'll definitely be reading the rest of the books, I took a chance and it was well worth it ♥️

I really enjoyed this book. Some parts did stretch the imagination, but not too hard and once you got past those the story flowed really well.

I loved the relationship between Rax and Finn and even though Rax was a murderer, I found myself rooting for them.

There was an unexpected twist and it took some time for the reasons to be revealed, but it all led to an HEA.

The narration for both mmcs was spot in and made each character that much more believable.
