About this listen

Leo Carew's much-lauded UNDER THE NORTHERN SKY trilogy draws to its spellbinding conclusion...

Albion continues to be divided by revolt and bloodshed, as alliances collapse and are made anew.

Driven obsessively for glory, the upstart Bellamus and his exiled queen Aramilla are marshalling resistance and building a powerful army.

Returning to the Hindrunn, Keturah is forced to fend for herself, battling enemies on all sides just when she is most in need of a place of safety.

And all the while, the young Black Lord must deal not only with the aftermath of a great betrayal, but the cold shadow of the Kryptea, threatening to destroy everything he has fought for...

Mr Carew,

You have single handedly destroyed my evening. I started listening with 7 hours left of the book this morning and I couldn't switch it off until it ended just moments ago, when I irrationally burst into tears mourning that the experience was over.

I read a lot of fantasy and I have rarely come across characters as loveable and well written as these. the intricate detailing of both civilisations, their principles and beliefs created such a rich and wonderful world.

Though they had their faults, the Anakim have such a animistic perception of the world, they really do love full lives and it is something I will take away from this book and cherish.

I will no doubt return to this in the years to come and love it all over again .

Just sublime

After reading the series, I couldn't get to liking Roper and his brother Scrappy doo, they were just to perfect , good at just about everything, from battle winning tactics to flawless fighting skills. I did like Bellomus though, with all his scheming and looking after NO 1 ,, even sacrificing his queen . So overall I did enjoy the series especially as the ending wasn't what I expected.

I have thoroughly enjoyed all three books, the twists and turns. It is wonderfully written, powerful characters, and emotive. I have enjoyed the journey, have felt loss with the characters. The series played effectively with your emotions and I genuinely have been moved.

Wonderful

I wasn’t prepared for how moving this trilogy would be, Occasionally some characters are written so well that it hurts to let them go, having followed them on journeys that you’ll never forget. Perhaps too harrowing at times, but that’s only because the world of story he created mattered so much. Emotionally damaging, but worth it..

Breathtaking and heartbreaking.
