About this listen

Book 3 of The End Times

The End Times have come to Ulthuan. The battle that began millennia ago will finally end, as the druchii march upon the soil of their ancestral home once again and Malekith claims his destiny.

Listen to it because...

It's Gav Thorpe writing about elves, finishing the story he began in The Sundering trilogy. Storylines decades in the making reach their conclusion in an epic that changes the fate of the elves forever.

The story:

The End Times are coming. With Naggaroth besieged by the hordes of Chaos, the Witch King Malekith makes the decision to abandon the Land of Chill and make one final attempt to seize the throne of Ulthuan. As the druchii march upon the soil of their ancestral home once again, long-laid plans come to fruition and treachery blooms, bringing Malekith closer than ever to his goal. All that stands in the Witch King's way is the Regent of Ulthuan, Prince Tyrion, and the darkness within Malekith's own soul, the call of the Curse of Khaine.

solid performance of a novel that has great content but really needed more detail. the book was solid but there was always a clear miscommunication between the author and those working on the supplementary material, leading to both summarising the same key timespan when the main character is taking a break. works fine for the novel, but bear it in mind if looking for further reading.

Also bear in mind this is the most controversial book of the series. some fans still have very strong opinions about the narrative choices it contains.

excellent now just need the next 2

Really amazing voice acting here with strong narration. Pros: Sexy dark elf voices, Malekith slapping about his minions, tense dark scenes. Cons: Terribly mashed together confusing end times story that makes absolutely no sense and characters having a personality transplant to suit stupid end times nonsense.

The narrator makes an excellent dark elf!

Nice detailed background into Malekith

Bring on the next two chapters :D !!

Also Bug them to do Vampire Wars using the voice actors from this series !!!

Awesome !!

The story is nice and has some cool plottwists.
it also reflects on past happenings but those 'scenes' are quite confusing as sometimes it's not really clear your listening to a flashback.

overall a good listen.

Nice story but flashbacks are confusing
