I found these books difficult to follow, I do listen in bed mind you and often have to back track to catch up as I have fallen asleep. The story, as you would expect from a time travel book, jumps about quite a bit. I think maybe a family tree graphic may help.... It didn't fall into place until maybe the middle of book 2. I enjoyed it enough to keep going but not enough to listen to the free novella at the end.
When I think of the storyline now, having finished the book, I can more or less piece it all together. It was a work of art writing it.
The narration was generally ok but the 'Scottish' accent was dreadful.
