Summary

After Nancy Richards is sent to prison, her daughter Jeanie is placed in the care of Edna Baker, a respected figure in London’s East End. Under Edna’s roof, Jeanie should be safe.

I love the characters and descriptions of the families, their loyalties and also their treacheries. Fascinated by the old school gangsters, & the difference of those today. So exciting and anything with the wonderful Annie Aldington reading, I want to listen to. Also love the strength of the woman in these books.
