Summary

I tried to read this twice but just couldn't connect to the FMC because the female narrator sounded like a robot. It made her emotionless and so I couldn't invest in her. It was also very distracting from the story.

I enjoyed every second of this book from the story to the narration. Emma Hamm is a brilliant author

I feel as though the author missed out on some story line opportunities. But in terms of the audio book it got quite difficult listening to Selene's chapters cause the voice was very robotic. Also towards the end there were some character mix ups which I'm sure the actors could have corrected during the reading 🙈

The FMCs voice sounds like an AI robot. She does a better job of the other female characters but I found it difficult to connect with the FMC. I couldn't finish the audio version because of it and read it instead. MMCs voice is great. Story is unique and the world building is just right, not overwhelming.
