This is the forth book I have listened to of Ash’s and it is by far the most brutal (which is perfect for my tastes). Ash really has stepped it up for this book, his writing, character development and all round storytelling has completely levelled up.
Franklin (the main antagonist) is one of my favourite characters that Ash has written, his depravity and down right disrespect for anything that doesn’t fit his plans (or sometimes even the things that do), paint the perfect villain for a story such as this.
The descriptions of the atrocities performed left images in my mind, that left my skin crawling and my tastebuds imagining things it would rather not (you’ll know what part I mean when you listen)
The narration on this audiobook matches the evil vibes to a t. Big bear audio always manages to suck my into every scene, his evil laughs make the hair on the back of my neck stand on end and the dedication he gives ti every single character give them the life they deserve (until it’s snubbed from them).
Just like Ash, big bear has really stepped things up in this performance, and it is without a doubt my favourite piece of work from him as of yet.
I honestly can’t wait to hear what amazing work these two conjure up next.
