This book is so blatant in its reusing elements from Name of the Wind, it's beyond annoying every time something happens like everyone calling for the story they want then the main character asking for one that could get the story teller in trouble with the church, just like in Pat's book, or the story of a man trapped in a tower binding the wind to let him safely float to the ground, just like Pat's book, or going to a shop and talking to the vendor about his kid and leaving with an item of clothing for free, just like in Pat's book. It happens all the time just like the first book, there are almost no original ideas in this and the times it is original it's just so boring! The narrator was good again, that's literally all the good I can think to say about this garbage! I also just don't get why he is sharing his story with this insufferable woman who leaves all the time with no way for him to know if she'll see him again to finish the story. This series is the worst I've read, it's hardly even worth the time it took to read this review unless it manages to save you from wasting the time and money I have on it! Please read anything else so my sacrifice in listening to this is for something.
