I read a couple of Andy Weir novels a while back then noticed the short story The Egg on Audible. It was 8 mins long and could be purchased for 1 credit (!) or £2.99. I left it but looked again last week and found that The Egg is included in a short story collection and was in the Plus catalogue so was free. Happy days!

I listened to this struggling through traffic on a long tedious drive. It was ok but didn’t really grab me. 3 days later and o have just listened again whilst quietly doing a craft project. This time I enjoyed each story.

Short stories are an odd medium in some ways. You are just getting into a story then it ends. Not enough time to really build up substance

This is my favourite collection of short stories!
The collection is a great mix with many unpredictable endings, some more predictable, but overall thought provoking and interesting.
Overall my only complaint is that there isn't more and aren't any longer short stories!
