I love all the characters and different scenarios

I love this series (have listened to all of the books starting from the house witch all the way up to this book, as it’s the latest release) I love all the characters, it’s funny, charming, gripping, emotional, deep, romantic, I’m hooked, I think I even prefer the Ether witch over The Burning Witch series. I don’t know. I love Tamlin and Eli and love the return of the character of Harris from the House Witch series. Love love love . Would highly recommend

The characters are really starting to come alive, there’s less predictability to the story line, less rambling conversations and agonising over the love interest storyline and a lot more plot twists. Tam is no longer the lovesick puppy wet behind the ears agonising over every choice, I know that was part of his character but it’s better handled in this book than the first. I’m looking forward to the next. I think some of the details revealed in this book have filled in the plot holes and answered questions that would have made the first more enjoyable and for sure this book doesn’t seem as rushed and the story and characters more developed. A good story well performed :)

I have listened to this entire series from “The House Witch” to this, one after the other since October 2025 and this is the best one so far. I love everything about this book. But the best is the dialogue and banter between the characters. Some was so funny it had me laughing out loud and others so poignant and thought provoking it had me congratulating Dalemhach mid read for such a fab job. This has fast become one of my all time favourite series that I just know I will return to again and again as a comfort read. All the characters now feel like old friends.
