The author has edited this series of books to suit a modern audience. While some bits are improved by this to make more sense to todays kids, big changes to parts of the plot did change part of the tone & meaning of the book. Its still amazing & well worth a listen but read the original for the true story. If youre like me and read these books as a 90s kid its well worth a listen, lovely childhood nostalgia

Its really good but they changed it

The story is great, funny and really warming but I seriously preferred the narration by Julia Mckenzie as she brought the characters alive and made it more funny. This was narrated but done very poorly as the kids voices were awful and don't like the way Big Grandma voice was. It can become an ear ache to hear at times.
The story is funny as I have the books but just wish they could have got Julia Mckenzie narration of this.
