About this listen

Only man bears His Image. History's Original Tragedy—The First Deception—began with Eve's neglect of this truth. By her willingness to engage in dialogue with a "Nonhuman Intelligence" (a fallen angel feigning benevolence and assuming the disguise of an incarnate rational creature), the Fall of Man was precipitated. Today, the Last Deception is arising in the same manner.

The Devil now seeks to deceive mankind not in the form of a speaking serpent, but rather by employing today's prevailing myth—science fiction—and he is empowered by increasingly sensational but patently false claims masquerading as nonfictional. These contemporary lies—regarding aliens, UFOs, and superintelligent AI—provide still more alluring disguises for him to yet again beguile the human race into entering into dialogue with him, even while failing to discern the cloven hoof. Thus, the Biblically foretold "Strong Delusion" (2 Thessalonians 2) is heralded as men "wander into myths" (2 Timothy 4) and heed "demonic instructions." (2 Timothy 4)

But this book will equip you to resist it: to reject The Last Deception

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. DO'C has a great voice to listen to.
I have often thought that 'something out there's might have something to do with the end times. I must admit it caused some concern. Also with the AI situation. He speaks in a calm and authorative manner.

To hear Daniel explaining everything in a clear way, well researched and evidenced, has calmed my concerns.
The fact that he is a devout Catholic has made him my 'go to' source for information.
Well done Daniel and keep up the good work.
God bless you in your wirk

This book is outstanding. Rigorously researched, you can see the scientific and academic background of the author, but also very clearly his immersion in the teaching of the Church. I am very glad to have read it, and shocked by the fact that some things he refers to as future developments at the time he was writing are already coming true. I don't agree with his conclusions on everything. For example, it's clear that the destruction of the environment is both foretold in scripture as a sign of the end times and is happening now - so not to be dismissed - also not to be despaired about; we should do what we can to protect the planet God gave us while looking forward to it's restoration. There's the occasional insertion of American cultural shorthand which grates to a European ear - for example, the term 'wokeism' is used occasionally used as a magic adjective to dismiss categories of thought without examining them thoroughly - but he can be forgiven for that, I think, because he genuinely isn't banging the drum for left wing or right wing politics - or indeed politics of any kind in this book. Generally speaking when a European hears the term 'wokeism' from an American they brace themselves for a hefty dose of immigrant bashing nativist followed by a display of US exceptionalism. He absolutely avoids that sort of thing in this text. He's all about deconstructing scí-fi myths. Here he looks at the particular net of myths which has ensnared the entire world from a truly global and breathtakingly broad historical perspective. I'm frankly amazed by the breadth of his reading and how well he has syncretised his argument.

Basically, I would advise everyone to read this, whether Catholic or not. This book is written by a child of our times, but also by a child of the Church, and I dare say it will prove prophetic.

Remarkable Book

If you are a person of faith and have questions about AI and aliens, read this book then read it again.

Fascinating and worth reading and rereading

Funny that this book gives good reasons that alien belief and AI hype are all bunk. But then it tells us demons are real and that science fiction is a demonic deception, ecpecially Spielberg movies. I hate to sound like a reddit atheist, byt maybe it's all just made up and scifi is just cool escapism? The auhor does have a lovely voice.

And why do Catholic fundies hate the Elightenment so much?

Aliens are fiction. Agreed. But demons are real...?!
