A relaxing return to the Highlands with engaging characters and gentle romance. It’s not great literature and the writing is VERY predictable — but sometimes that’s just what the Doctor ordered.

The second book in a series. Loved it! A lot of audiobooks claim to be lighthearted and heartwarming and that’s what their reviews say, then go on to focus on heart wrenching death, trauma, abuse of all kinds and / or go on about bedroom things. In my opinion, this series IS actually lighthearted and heartwarming, yet things still occur. A meaningful meander through the highlands with some fantastically likeable characters that are so well described. So well written and performed. Off to listen to the next one now…

I really love this series, I am so routing for Beth! I love the fantastic voices the narrator does, it really makes you fall in love with the characters.

A lovely heart warming story about two people from completely different backgrounds but so similar in character. Rachel writes beautifully and I love a series that explores the whole family.
