I love these stories as I have read them on kindle in the summer. I thought I would listen to them while working. But, sorry, I have had to return this first one I have listened to. The Narrator is so irritating to listen to and completely ruined my listening experience for me.
So back to re reading the books. Such a shame,

With all due respect to the Narrator, and this is only my opinion, I didn't like her voice for any of the characters unfortunately. On the whole, the story was okay, it kept me occupied whilst I got on with some work. It wasn't brilliant or anything like that, hence the 3 stars. There are so many books to this series. If they're narrated by the same person, I'm afraid I won't be listening to them.

I enjoy almost any story with ghosts in, and this was a pretty good engaging who done it mystery.

Not usually into ghost books but I gave it a go and loved it on to the next one

These are sort of ‘sweet’ books and therefore easy to listen to.
I did find myself a number of times getting a little frustrated at some of the character’s inability to pick things up.
I think the series would greatly improve if ‘Marlowe House’ and ‘what do you mean’ were used less frequently.
