I didn’t like the central character. She seemed to make too much of a turbulent but not abusive childhood. I liked the plot idea but the twist was fairly easy to guess.

Started well but became a bit irritating

I love a twisty thrilling story about family secrets and drama. However, the twists in this one didn't really hit. It was more of a sad story about people who were too young to understand the consequences of their actions and couldn't trust any of the adults around. A different kind of coming-of-age story, where some characters might not get the chance to become adults, and the ones who do, have to live with the regret and hurt all their lives.
Actually surpassed all of my expectations in the best way.
