Summary

When Lily McDermott walks in to find her husband of just three months in bed with a famous actress, life as she knows it is over. Lily thinks things can't get any worse when she sees photos of her husband and his new lover splashed across the glossy magazine pages, but when she loses her job, too, she is at her lowest ebb and turns to baking to soothe her soul.

Easy listening. Funny, heart breaking and love affirming. Just the way you want everything to work out for the slightly dippy, yet totally lovable heroine. You can’t help but be on her side.

Dire and unbelievable - gave it 2 hours mainly as I love the narrator. But the characters were just irritating so had to give up

I enjoyed this story, it was a nice one to fall asleep to. Nothing too heavy. The narrator is very expressive and sometimes the male voices she imitated grated on me a little! Overall though, a really nice story, the characters unfolded in an interesting way making you warm to them. I’ll definitely listen to another book by this author.
