About this listen

When a powerful vizier curses Jasna, her soul – bound to stone – begins to splinter, and a desperate spell casts her into Syanka, a realm shaped by old stories.

To reclaim what was taken and rescue Iliya – once her betrothed, now a pawn in something darker – Jasna must face beasts and strike dangerous deals with ancient beings she once believed lived only in her Nana’s tales.

But the red thread that marks her path is tightening, and the zmei she trusted is growing impatient. If she cannot reach the vizier’s palace before the thread snaps, whatever remains of her soul will unravel with it.

The Girl Who Cheated the Wind weaves dark magic, Slavic folklore, and Ottoman-inspired intrigue into a tale where wonder walks hand in hand with danger.

For fans of Naomi Novik and Labyrinth. Audiobook narrated by Bronwen Price, multi-award-nominated voice actor.

An excellent reading of this book, that makes the interesting, exotic tale better.

The story is about a young woman from a hypothetical eastern european country that escapes into a Slavic narnia. The reading is professionally done and a joy to listen to.

Very well read book, nice story
