As they spend more time together, their feelings develop for one another despite her parents warning her nothing good will come of it. As rumours swirl around the village igniting jealousies and unearthing deeply buried secrets, will love find a way?

It takes you off to another world and makes a change from war time stories and still that era great narrator as as always Anne Dover is my favourite I love the way she tells the stories and takes your way to that world one of my favourite books so far
