When a factory girl and a Jewish businessman fall in love it seems that the whole world is against them.

listened to this book with all its heart breaking moments, the twists and turns couldn't stop wondering how it was going to end well worth a listen.

The plot moved on apace without unnecessary descriptions. The narrator was excellent. Couldn't warm to the 'heroine but nobody's perfect!

Really enjoyed this story with lots of great characters, mental health social problems and the era of World War Two covered so well

Then to me it was a spoilt by the very twee ending so took a star off for this as it had been so good,
