The story follows a Black Templar Dreadnought from being awaken, planetary assault and storming a Ork Stronghold on that most unlucky of planets, Armageddon. What makes this story a stand out from most Black Library stories is not only the fact we get to hear what it's like to be entombed into a Dreadnought which is worth listening to in itself but the ending which is fantastic and pulls off something a lot Black Library book fail to do in making me actually caring about the protagonist, this is helped by Toby Longworth spot on performance.

Also Orks are treated as a actual threat in the story and not just dim witted baffoons to be gunned down in thousands to make the Space Marines look Cool. I wish more of the Black Library author's did this, it something so simple that a good action story needs in that the enemy should be a threat.

Well worth a listen.

Loved the narration. The story of the dreadnought is truly inspiring. You feel like you are inside the dreadnought itself. An amazing experience

An intriguing and oddly emotive POV of a Dreadnought in the build up to war.

The book as a hole is amazing if you need to sit down and relax. However this book is incredibly sad and shows this in an amazing way. you could not get any better than this if you are looking for a book focusing on a dreadnought.
10/10 would definitely recommend :)
