About this listen

Clayton Carter and Chastity Harrison embark on a gruesome killing spree across Southern California, always staying one step ahead of the authorities while slaughtering their victims. Homicide Detective Harvey Skinner, frustrated by his failure to catch them, decides to use an unconventional method to punish Clayton and Chastity. He releases a notorious serial killer from death row and sends him to hunt and torture Clayton and Chastity in a brutal game of cat-and-mouse.

Jon Athan, the author of The Law of Retaliation and Cannibal Creek, takes you on a bloody road trip in this story of moral ambiguity, lawless vengeance, and extreme violence.

This book is not for the faint hearted or those easily offended. It is dark , gruesome, depraved, deplorable. However it was right up my street. A serial killer ( that the police are using)hunting a pair of serial killers . Some killings involve children and an unborn baby. I'm hoping this will become a series.

The plot of this book is pretty horrifying. But in the end weirdly satisfying. It grabbed my attention from start to finish.

Great story

Was hooked every step of the way!!! Kept rewinding parts not because I couldn't keep up but because I wanted to delight and savour the sadistic plights that were being inflicted on the sadistic killers.
Chelsea Kirkpatrick did a top notch job bringing the characters to life with her voice work but my only gripe with was that the mic would peak if she was a bit too loud during certain intense scenes in the book, which occasionally made for an uncomfortable listening experience; sensory-wise at least, as I must clarify since I took no issue with the gory details of this book
