About this listen

Corporations and their boards are under growing attack for many reasons. Governance issues are front and center, yet there is little understanding of what directors and boards actually do, even among directors themselves.

In this audiobook, the cloistered world of the boardroom is demystified, brought into the sunlight and explained, with respect and compassion. Read by the author, this audiobook provides information, history, and context essential to anyone seeking to understand how corporations and their stewards - the board of directors - can and should function. Directors, aspiring directors, investors, and students of corporate behavior will all enjoy this lively description.

Narration is challenging to listen to given over precise emphasis by the author narrating her own book. Slow to start with a lot of US history and takes many many chapters to get to nub of the content and advice on corporate governance. There must be easier books to listen to on this important subject.

Poorly narrated and laborious story telling
