Summary

The adventures of Farin and Stinker continue.

Can the squire save his master? At the end of his tether, the gravedigger's son desperately tries to help his lord, Knight Emicho. An urgent mission, over the treacherous Western Mountains and into the mysterious Swamplands, is his only option. Yet the greatest dangers he faces are betrayal, distrust, and despair.

In new and strange surroundings, and relying on her wits, Aross must protect her secret. She learns of her murky past and is confronted by the realization that her future will be far from easy.

Some irritatingly silly actions by the main protagonists, and rather juvenile, but still enjoyable.

Light escapism

Looking forward to book four! Great story, easy to dip in and out of. Book Three kept me company in my travels. Storyline still going strong! Enjoying it immensely.

Not my normal book of but Mr Jackson's reading brings it to life, as does any book he narrates. Worth his weight in gold to any author.
