About this listen

An indispensable compendium of Hunter S. Thompson's best of Gonzo.

Originally published in 1979, The Great Shark Hunt, the first volume of the bestselling 'Gonzo Papers' is Hunter S. Thompson’s largest and, arguably, most important work. These essays cover Nixon to napalm, Las Vegas to Watergate, Carter to cocaine, offering brilliant commentary and outrageous humour, in signature Thompson style.

I waited so long for this book on Audible, and gladly squandered my precious monthly credit upon its release. Classic HST- what's not to love?
The narration.
God, its abysmal.
An over excited, almost cartoon character-like reading style which truly grates the nerves after a short period.
It's like listening to Orwell being read by Timmy Mallet.
Wish you'd forked out for Johnny Depp...

So Disappointed.
