This is a very good first novel in the detective genre from Nick James. The characters are well developed, and the storyline kept my interest from start to finish. Ian and Tosh bounce off each other really well and are nicely supported by the rest of the team. The narration by Abe Goldfarb is top-notch and really brings the story to life. A recommended listen.

I’ve read and enjoyed a lot of Nick’s horror books, so when I was given the chance to read The Green Fields of Home, I jumped at the chance. While the genre is different, the brilliant writing remains the same, with fantastic characters, immersive storytelling, and laced with Nick’s trademark humour. Highly recommended!

Another fantastic book by Nick James!
