I loved this book and the entire series. Would completely recommend, I've listened to them again and again and they never get old. The world is rich, the characters complex and the deep dive into Irish mythology pulls the story along.

excellent book

This book is a great read, it's very imaginative and the characters are very vivid. At times it is quite similar to Harry Potter - but I doubt that would be a problem for most people.
I would recommend this book to anyone as it is very well read and engaging.

Well worth getting

So, I really love this story and I have done so for many many years. It has been great returning to it again. However the narrator is a little annoying

Great story, not the best narrator

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The narrator can't do accents. Admittedly I am british, which probably makes me more sensitive to mistakes than most, but his attempt at a british accent was awful (think Dick Van Dyke at times). It was bad enough that I couldn't concentrate on what he was saying any more. I liked the story well enough that I think I am going to buy the sequel but it will be on paper not as an audiobook.

Good story, narrator can't do accents
