Summary

THE HUNT IS ON FOR JAEGER

1945, and the Nazis' grand plans are in disarray. Defeat is imminent, so in a last attempt to protect their legacy, the high command hides their store of uranium deep underground, ready for them to fight another day.

2018, and ex-SAS soldier Will Jaeger stumbles upon this horrible truth. But the uranium is missing and, when he learns his wife Ruth has also been kidnapped, he's certain the enemy is on the move once more.

That much uranium in the wrong hands could devastate the world. It's up to Jaeger and his team to find it before their worst fears are realised. But the enemy is always one step ahead, pushing Jaeger to the limit of his endurance.

The danger is real, and the people who hold Ruth have a score to settle. It's a race against time.

And the clock is ticking . . .

This was better than I thought it would be, if you liked the other two books or you like a bit of bond, then this is for you. I agree with those who say it feels like it has been heavily edited, but still worth a listen!

Not a bad yarn

If there was ever any doubt that Bear Grylls could achieve notoriety in the world of fiction writing or as an Author these three books have completely dispelled that.
Written with a matter of fact maturity that his on TV appearances do display but with far more grit and far less this and that. The characters he has created in this Will Jaeger series are like true life no bullshit, highly trained and knowledgeable ex-military professionals that are well painted each with their own unique characteristics brought superbly to life via Rupert Degas’ unrivalled narration with the accompanying accents, inflection with pitch and pause of voice that never fails to convey either honesty, fear, pain and with emotion along with all the other many characteristics of the human spectrum what a combination, Wow!
In this series of three books you will find a thrilling fast paced action packed series of missions that is far removed from a movie scenario of bullshit series of partakes where the characters are invincible and devoid of fear or mistake. What you will find is a serious and respectful regard for the real and actual approaches taken by those from or of those familiar with the operations of elite special forces with all accompanying background history an knowledge of things only those with a true advanced military background would know and be versed on including weaponry, strategy, geography and survival instincts included along with the do or die approach we’ve all grown to know and love of the Bear Grylls personality extracted from his tv survival shows, putting Bear Grylls, as an author, right at the forefront of Army/War/Military action thriller book writing and despite my initial unwarranted um’s and ah’s at Bear’s turning to the pen rather than the survival knife end of things I can assure you you will be gripped from start to finish and if you doubt any of his writing abilities or vocabulary then hear this they are as sharp as his ability to survive in the wilderness which you know is second to none.
I can’t wait to read any of his next books. To the living legend that is Bear Grylls this has been one Boss job, mission complete.
