About this listen

The award-winning Indigenous Peoples' Message To The World delivers a timeless and more relevant than ever message to us all, and represents a collaboration of numerous organizations, individuals and indigenous peoples from around the globe. Recorded live in the Amazon Jungle in Brazil in 1992 at the First World Conference of Indigenous People's, the extraordinary partnership captured here was spearheaded by Marcos Terena, the founder of the United Indigenous Nations, and supported by the Tribal Link Foundation and Land is Life.

Excerpt from recording: "We the Indigenous Peoples walk to the future in the footprints of our ancestors, from the smallest to the largest living being, from the four directions, from the air, the land and the mountains. The Creator has placed us, the Indigenous Peoples, upon our Mother the Earth. The footprints of our ancestors are permanently etched upon the lands of our peoples...We the Indigenous peoples are connected by the circle of life to our lands and environment. We the Indigenous peoples walk to the future in the footprints of our ancestors."

A message full of wisdom, ancestral knowledge and love. Nice music to meditate about it too.

I didn't realise when I first starting listening to this that there would music, singing and some nature sounds. A very enjoyable and immersive experience.

I like how a lot of the recording is live speechs rather than quoting. It really brings out the power in them.
