Summary

The moment our defense satellites began falling from the sky, we suspected this was an invasion.

Massive fleets of unknown origin had simultaneously appeared across the globe, attacking major cities and small towns. It was a violent display of full-spectrum global dominance - swift and clinical, rendering much of the world's military forces into smoldering piles of ash before they even had a chance to respond. First contact was nothing less than a devastating surprise attack.

Humanity's end had arrived with grim finality.

For Kentucky State Policeman Matt Reeves, today's shift will not only be a gut-wrenching fight for survival, it will also be the catalyst that changes his life forever, sending him down a path of all-out interstellar war.

If you enjoy gritty military sci-fi, high-stakes alien invasion stories, and smart time travel thrillers - all with flawed heroes and nonstop action - you'll love The Earth Epsilon wars series.

The story was ok, although it felt like it should have been pitched as a script for a TV show rather than written as a book. It was about an alien invasion but the invasion did not start until chapter 8, and didn’t really last long enough, a little disappointing. The beginning of the story had too much irrelevant introduction that did not add to the overall story, e.g., characters that were introduced but did not feature later on. The early characters should just have been very briefly mentioned. Often ‘big words’ used where a more succinct description would have been better. There was a lack of description of places, locations, the alien ships, the weapons etc, for example with the home of the guy towards the end of the book, a really good description of the house, the rooms, the guy, his thoughts & temperament and his reasons for his actions would have been good. The author needs to write in a way that his words enter the readers minds eye so they can see what the author sees in his head.
So it was ok but didn’t captivate me and took a bit of going back to chapters as my mind started to wander.

It was ok
