Summary

I hate Ripley Brewer.

So, why am I cuddling on his lap, peering into his ocean-blue eyes while cameras record our every move?

My best friend needs my help to save her career, and I would do anything for her. Besides, filming a reality show sounds fun … until Ripley shows up to play the role of my fake boyfriend.

As always, we nearly come to blows within minutes of seeing each other. The playboy billionaire accuses me of a setup, but I insist I’d rather live in a world without carbs than spend a minute with him.

At some point during the melee, we sign contracts. I can’t stand the look of his six feet two inches of chiseled abs and broad shoulders. And I loathe his arrogance. But now that he’s my pretend beau, I’m stuck acting like I’m falling in love with my biggest enemy.

It turns out that Ripley’s a good actor, too. Every soft touch on the small of my back makes my heart thump faster. His sultry smirk feels like it’s only for me. I should detest every word that passes his kissable lips.

Is this all a ruse, or does Ripley want to end this episode of The Invitation going from enemies to lovers? Because now? I’m not convinced I can despise him anymore.

Brilliant Loved this audiobook.!!
Now I thought book 2 was my favourite so far,but Ripley and Georgia just stole my heart.
This is such a fantastic enemies to Lovers/Fake dating romance and I enjoyed every single clash between them, every exchange and every moment they shared together.
Ripley and Georgia have history he humiliated her 10 years ago and she has hated him ever since,Ripley also has his reasons for hating on Georgia but they are not what we all think.
Then participating in a reality dating show changes everything for them both...They only agree to do the show because it is to save their friends career's and they must Fake Date and pretend to be falling in love.
How would they pull it off if everytime they were in eachothers space they would argue and bicker..?
I Loved seeing Ripley and Georgia being forced to spend time together, and get to know one another properly...Its a storm that brings everything to the surface, trapped together brings out all kinds of revelations...They slowly realise that they had a skewed perception of eachother and it was so wrong.
One incident in the past taints their opinion of eachother starting the hatred between them.
The slow burn between them is worth the intense explosion of chemistry they have, and the steam and the anticipation is worth it.
Ripley is so adorable when he confesses a secret to Georgia it is so romantic and sweet she definately had him all wrong...But there is a threat to the relationship if they do pursue something because someone who is important to Georgia HATES the Brewer family and this could be a huge problem.
One of my favourite tropes is enemies to Lovers and Adriana Locke has written a perfect one,It is funny, emotional and steamy.
The narration of Jason Clarke anf Lexi Maynard is Fabulous !!.. together they really make this story shine.
I love Jason Clarke and have heard many of the books he has narrated and he never fails to captivate me with his voice.
It is the first time I have heard Lexi Maynard and I really loved her storytelling abilities her voice is expressive, clear and smooth..I enjoyed listening to them both very much they were great as Ripley and Georgia.
The Invitation by Adriana Locke is an enthralling story and audiobook and I am hoping there is a book 4 in the future.
Loved it.

Audiobook review: narrated by Jason Clarke and Lexi Maynard
4 stars for story / 4 stars for performance

*Enemies to Lovers
*Fake Dating (with a twist)
*Forced Proximity

Ripley and Georgia have some of the best banter stemming from a true dislike for each other at the beginning of the story. Due to strange circumstances, and unbeknownst to either of them, they end up as stars of a reality show pilot in which they have to “date” each other. Great premise for a fake-dating trope. The story was fun and it was a nice easy read/listen. I’ll definitely be checking out future books in this series.

The audio aspect was great. Both narrators nailed the emotions perfectly and it was a pleasant experience to listen. The only thing that would have made it better was if it had been done in duet style versus dual. Jason Clarke has such a unique voice that I didn’t feel the same connection to his character when it was performed by Lexi Maynard. Minor details and overall it was well done!

Jason and Lexi did a marvellous job bringing Georgia and Ripley's story to life. While Lexi could use some work on her male voice, I very much enjoyed the rest of the narration.

Between the banter and sniping of the main characters, there were notes of longing and obvious attraction. I adored watching them grow closer and sorting through their issues—many of which were not as bad as I first believed.

Georgia was a spitfire. She stood up for herself (most of the time) and gave as good as she got when it came to Ripley. Who, despite coming across as a bit of a jerk at the beginning, was actually very thoughtful and caring.

But, true to any good story, they had challenges to face and hurdles to jump. And once again, Daddy Brewer was thwarting everyone's happiness even though he was locked up!

I love the Brewer family dynamics—the taunting and teasing, their undeniable fun—they (especially Mimi) never fail to entertain me.

I'm very much looking forward to the next story in the series.

I love the Brewer family so much!

The Invitation is the third book of the Brewer Family series. This is about Georgia and Ripley. Ripley is one of the Brewer brothers. Georgia beat friend is getting married. She is going to be the Maid of Honor. Georgia couldn’t be happier for her best friend. The only problem is the Best Man. Ripley Brewer is the Best Man and her biggest enemy. They went to high school together, and that is where the animosity spurs from. Georgia is currently unemployed and looking for a job. Her best friend is trying to launch a new dating reality series on tv. Georgia agrees to fake date someone for the tv show. Her male co-star is non other than Ripley. From enemies to lovers and a very cute puppy. I loved this book!

Lexi Maynard and Jason Clarke did an excellent job narrating these two characters perfectly.

“I’m sitting here right now hoping that it rains forever. Because if we walk out of here and I never get to experience this again. I want as many memories with you as I can get” Ripley and Georgia had been enemies since they met their senior year of High School. Ten years after, they are going to film a reality show where they fall in love. What’s going to happen when every time they are together they can’t help but fight each other? The audiobook is great. Lexi Maynard and Jason Clarke make an excellent job with all the feelings, banter and emotional moments in the story. Chapter nineteen, with an amazing Jason Clarke, is one of the best moments I’ve ever listened to.
