About this listen

The Irishman’s Promise is nominated for a 2024 Society of Voice Arts and Sciences Award in the category of Outstanding Narration - Ensemble Cast - Best Voiceover.
Nobody except Marcus batted an eye when I decided to escape L.A. for a temporary hiatus to Ireland.
“Sometimes you have to press reboot,” I told myself. So here I am, visiting my mom on the Emerald Isle and loving every minute. However, of all the plans I had in my head, falling in love with an Irishman was not one of them. Especially one who presses all my buttons. All the wrong buttons.
I must remind myself that if he is the only blemish on my self-transformation journey, I can push through it. Yet every time I push back, it only draws us closer.

I LOVED this book! The narrative cast was spot-on perfect in this tale of taking chances, chasing your dreams, and allowing true love in your life.

Elise finds herself impetuously breaking off a long term relationship with a man who is the safe choice: wealthy, but shallow. Elise has stagnated, so she decides a visit to Ireland to see her ex-pat mother is just the change she needs.

What she discovers is that her mother’s fiancé has a son. Aiden is charming, funny and a bit guarded. Their attraction is undeniable, even though there is friction too.

What I loved about this story is its warmth and heart. These are complicated people who are learning to find their way to each other in a small Irish village full of busy bodies. I really enjoyed the rich cast of top-notch narrators who helped weave this beautiful story together. I highly recommend this story.

Sweet story with humor, love, and spice!
