I absolutely devoured The Island at the Edge of Night! Lucy Strange has done it again, crafting a story that's both chilling and captivating. The atmosphere on the remote Scottish island is palpable - I felt like I was wrapped in the mist and the ancient call of nature, alongside Faye.

The mystery at the heart of the story is deliciously dark and intriguing. I was hooked from the very first page, desperate to uncover the secrets hidden within the story. The characters are complex and believable, and I found myself rooting for Faye and her friends as they navigated the treacherous world she found herself in.

I particularly loved the way the author weaves together elements of the supernatural with the gritty reality of life in the 1930s. If you enjoy a good mystery with a touch of the gothic, this book is an absolute must-read.

A masterful mystery for all ages

I don't read a lot of gothic horror but this was absolutely fantastic. The descriptions were brilliant. Fay was a great character. I really enjoyed listening to it and never once wished it to end.

Real creepy atmosphere and twists and turns

This story is not horrid and if you get it you won't regret it, you just won't cheer and jump up and down with joy either.
it is suspenseful and the story is well narrated, but it doesn't hold a candle to some of the authors other works and the predictability gets a bit much as the story goes. all in all not bad but not, oh what's it? not wow!!

good...but...
