Another creepy and gripping novella, although this one took a direction I never would have imagined!
From the start the mystery surrounding the main character grips the reader, as they slowly start uncovering the truth with the characters. Several times during the story I was tricked to believe something that never materialised, and this kept my attention high even more.
As I listened to the audiobook, the great narration by Jason Markiewitz contributed to the enjoyment.

The more I read Holly Knightley, the more I think she’s the queen of quiet horror, which is a subgenre I really love! I also think it’s one of the most approachable horror subgenres for those curious to venture into horror, but scared to be left traumatised (lol).

Having said that though, the ending of this novella left me so stupefied, my jaw was left hanging for some time. After recuperating, I thought to myself with a smirk “Well done Holly!”.

If you’re new to this author or you simply want a quick but engaging creepy mystery, this one is a good one!

Thanks to the author for the opportunity to listen to it and this is my honest opinion.

Creepy and with an unexpected ending!
