You should never talk to strangers

With his flight delayed, Ted Severson meets Lily Kintner, a magnetic stranger, in an airport bar. In the netherworld of international travel and too many martinis, he confesses his darkest secrets, about his wife's infidelity and how he wishes her dead. Without missing a beat Lily offers to help him carry out the task.

I decided to give this a try after hearing good things about it. Do not regret it. Absolutely loved it. Listened to the whole thing in a day.

twisty and fun lots happened but not dizzying good narration and time slips. never got me stressed out but kept me engaged throughout

great fun, engaging and low stress thriller

The voices for ted and faith sounded like a recording of a recording. Like it was being played on a radio with static in the background. The narrator for Lily did the most annoying H-why/H-where/W-which pronunciations, which seemed so forced. I’ve listened to Kathleen in other audiobooks and clearly this is not her natural pronunciation. It was extremely annoying and I couldn’t look past it.

Good enough storyline, audio quality and narration ruined it

Really enjoyed this listen , defo recommend if you’re into mystery thrillers. Enjoyed narration too. Easy to visualise

Had me hooked

I enjoyed the story but it's completely farfetched and odd. I would have liked some kind confirmation that Lilly was a serial killer instead of just unhinged with a vendetta. The character didn't seem driven enough for her motive to be revenge and so it's hard to believe she'd get involved with Ted at all. The ending was also quite annoying. It wanted to be clever but it felt more like a cop out. Like the author wanted to tie up loose ends. Other than that I think it's a good listen and some might find the storyline reasonable. I normally hate American accents for narrators but the performance wasn't too grating and I actually grew to like Lilly's voice.

A bit farfetched but worth a listen
