About this listen

Sir Michael of Weedon might think that his service to the crown ended when the Queen died and he was no longer required as her knight. He is wrong, for his qualities as a true and loyal warrior mean that he can be trusted.

King Henry and the Earl of Suffolk send him to France to recover a pyx.

Before he can complete his task, he is conscripted back into the army and finds himself, once more, fighting alongside Sir John Talbot.

Perfect continuation of Sir Michael becoming his own person and the story moving on from the strong staff part.

Currently the last in the series and TBH I could do with a break. Whilst the stories are wholesome, the books are short and if you binge listen to the entire series as I have the repetition gets a little irksome. By book 3 I know that archers have to train daily, are deformed, are the best in Europe, can shoot x yards, keep spare strings under their hats, not to mention all about Squirely duties etc. By book 7 I can predict when we are going to be told again. That being said each storybis enjoyable, the characters likely and the narration too notch. I just with they were longer so I hadn't spent £60+ listening to the series.

Better than I expected
