About this listen

Captivatingly read by Golden Globe and Olivier Award winner, and Oscar nominee, Jessie Buckley (Hamnet, Wicked Little Letters) and featuring a foreword read by Harry Whittaker.

This audiobook also includes a song composed and performed for this edition.

Falling in love could be the biggest risk of all . . .

A captivating tale of love and loss, set on the wild coast of Ireland and in glamorous 1960s London. From Lucinda Riley, the internationally bestselling author of the Seven Sisters series.

‘I adored it’ – Santa Montefiore, author of Shadows in the Moonlight

When Sorcha O’Donovan encounters struggling musician Con Daly – the strikingly handsome outcast in their small village on West Cork’s windswept coastline – her days will never be the same.

Con strikes gold with rock band The Fishermen in London, but their lives change beyond recognition as the dark side of fame rears its head and secrets from the past threaten to destroy everything he has worked for.

Twenty years later, The Fishermen agree to re-form for the Music for Life charity concert at Wembley Stadium. But Con has been missing for more than a decade. There’s only one person who can find out what happened; only one person who knows how vital it is to uncover the truth.

Because should Con Daly reappear before the facts emerge, then history could repeat itself with even more tragic consequences . . .

‘I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough’ – Karen Swan, author of The Stolen Hours

Lucinda Riley wrote The Last Love Song as Lucinda Edmonds, now reworked and revived by Harry Whittaker, Lucinda’s son and co-author of Atlas: The Story of Pa Salt.

Critic reviews

I was gripped and my heart broke but I fell in love anyway. A glorious story of love and loss. Utterly exquisite (Emma Cowell, author of The Island Love Song)
The Last Love Song feels like the discovery of a lost treasure . . . It’s simply sublime. It has all the qualities we adore in Lucinda’s writing: emotional depth, complex characters, surprises, twists and turns, and above all love. She writes about love so tenderly. I adored it because it’s another brilliant Riley novel, but I adored it also because it feels like a gift . . . A last smile, a kiss, and poignant good-bye (Santa Montefiore, author of Shadows in the Moonlight)
The Last Love Song had me hooked from the very first page. Brilliantly-drawn family dynamics and a magnetic love story meant I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. This story is definitive Lucinda Riley and a real treat for all her fans (Karen Swan, author of The Stolen Hours)

I absolutely love Lucinda Riley what a cruel world to have been taken .

I have waited for this on the presale after listening to all her other books which are amazing , Seven Sisters series is outstanding!
This I found was a little slow started getting good with about 3 -4 hours listening time left . Don’t let that put you off as per usual the twist gave me a shock at the end . I could do with a book 2 if you want to continue on for your Mum . What a talent she had .
Great Narration , that’s something you’ve always got right.

Was good but not the usual .
